
While walking home tonight I saw something unexpected.

A tethered balloon hanging in the twilight sky.

I happened to have my new camera with me.

So I took a few shots.

Nothing too exciting, just an advertising/aerial photography balloon (actually, I think an airship sans engines) on a demonstration flight. But a nice airminded surprise nonetheless.

Love the colours in the first shot…
Something about the colours in the first shot, and then the moon hanging next to the airship reminds me of minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic… just as well you don’t live in Woking!
