...arliament. It is not a complete nor an official record. Material from this site should not be used as a reference to or cited as Hansard. The material on this site cannot be held to be authoritative. This warning should be heeded -- it's only a prototype and should not be relied upon for any purpose. It's easy to find omissions, such as Baldwin's 'the bomber will always get through' speech, even though there's quite a number of entries for the day...

...etc past. So, to illustrate this, I'll write this post chronologically by site (rather than chronologically by time of day visted!) With the exception of the above: that's Clifford's Tower, which should come in the middle somewhere, but it's too pretty a picture not to put up front. I did say 'nearly all' -- there doesn't appear to be much from the prehistoric period. So I'll start with the Romans, who called the city Eboracum. It was the centre...

...eatly appreciated. John Doe I just found this russian military document website: http://www.armourbook.com/fly/flyafterwwii/49726-flight-international-3842-vol-122-25-december-1982.html Don't know how complete the archive is tough or whether the links are active and safe to download from. Might be worth giving it a shot. Desmond Markus "My uninformed (but not uneducated) guess is that the original archive depended on a bespoke and probably very sp...

...over by cybersquatters. They have a tribunemagazine.org domain which is still working, but their new archive link doesn't work either. So I've taken it off for now. Finally, I'll just mention Wikisource's 'Periodicals, General Interest' category and the serials list at the Online Books Page at the University of Pennsylvania. These collate links to some useful periodicals like Blackwood's Magazine from various sources like the Internet Archive; but...

..., though I missed it because it's not at all obvious from the usual ukpressonline site. Irish Newspaper Archives has added a couple of titles, the Dundalk Democrat and the Skibbereen Eagle. Unfortunately the Kildare Observer, which used to be a free sampler, now has to be paid for. This is probably to do with an upgraded user interface, which is much improved (but unfortunately doesn't seem to work in all browsers). And NewspaperArchive has added...

...e. Where possible, I've also added direct links to the part of the archive site relating specifically to each newspaper; with BNA this also includes filtering by the date range 01-01-1901 to 31-12-1950. Something I need to check is the newspaper's name. I've used whatever each site calls it, but it can change over time. For example, the Taunton Courier, and Western Advertiser was actually the Taunton Courier, Bristol and Exeter Journal and Western...

...d of the search engine provided by Flight; I usually use Google by adding 'site:flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view', and maybe adding a year to restrict it further, eg. 'site:flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view/1910'. JDK Anyone wondering why they don't get anything from Ross next week, now knows why. (I have a huge folder (if it weren't on the computer, it'd be 'bulging') of 'interesting' items found on Flight.) Sebastian I have approx 200 back issues...
